Hello all!
Well we just strolled into our 14th week of baby-baking! Our precious Baby E is now the size of a lemon! I have not felt any other flutters, but boy can I feel my little belly growing. Last week, I had excessive round ligament stretching, which means that my uterus is now outside of my pelvic bones. My intestines and all kinds of organs are now up near my belly button and its showing!
I didn't think that I would start showing yet, but its becoming quite obvious that I have a little person inside of me. Even my initial "maternity" pants are becoming tight around my waste. At first, I thought I was just getting fat ;-) but after looking at the pictures, I can definitely see that my organs have shifted due to the 3 1/2 inch miracle I'm incubating. Below are two photos: first is at 6 weeks and the second is tonight, week 14.
Our next Dr. appointment is on September 3. We will hear the heart beat again and begin measuring my uterus. Within the next few weeks, I should begin feeling the baby regularly, too! Apparently, Baby E is very active sucking their thumb, kicking, rolling around and I just can't quite feel it yet! Look at this amazing video below (this isnt OUR baby, but a video example I found):
