Week 11 - Heartbeat!

Yesterday was my 11 week appointment with Dr. Paas. Unfortunately Nathan was out of town, but since it was my mom's 60th birthday, I invited her to join me. So this was the first time we heard the heartbeat and it was externally through my belly. Because we had success hearing the heartbeat, I have gone from a 3% chance of miscarriage to less than 1%!



Hearing the heart was an incredible moment. To think that that little baby is in my belly - it made me feel like I can talk to it now! I am also feeling much better these days. The doctor gave me some nausea medicine that has kept my appetite normal. I can eat again!!

Nathan's band, Third Day, was on the Leno show Tuesday, so although he didn't get to hear the baby's heartbeat, he mingled with stars!

Well, enough for now. My next doctor appointment is September 2 and I will be meeting with another Dr. in the practice because Dr. Paas will be out on maternity leave!

    Hey Bon--what a great moment! I've gone to Dr. Paas for girly stuff (although no babies for me!). Isn't she great? She's having a little one, too, right?

    And congrats to Nathan on the national TV spot--you two are going places!
