Friends and Family,Its been a while since I last wrote and a lot has happened since then - a lot of very exciting things. Nathan is off the road and has enjoyed his summer as a stay-at-home Dad while juggling his new job as Third Day's Production Manager. I am so blessed to have him taking care of our little man every day.
Let me think of everything that has happened over the last 8 weeks. I'll do my best to remember it all! In early June, Nathan and Jude celebrated their first Father's Day together. It was magical. Nathan received his first grill, a weber with all the bells and whistles, we have used it nearly every evening since then!
It has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and is in a huge tennis/swim neighborhood north of Atlanta in Holly Sprints (just north of Roswell). Its also brand new, well, never lived in - it was the builder's model home and was sold FULLY furnished.
I'm not kidding. It has a desk, patio furniture, couches, rugs, and 4 beds with all the mattresses! Not to mention the hardwood floors, granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances... but enough about the house! I have to attribute every blessing we have received to God's Goodness.
He has orchestrated the move down to the smallest detail. Believe it or not, I am able to keep my job (which I LOVE) with Bucher and Christian as a Project Manger and Business Analyst. I will be working remotely from Georgia while at HOME with Jude. I cannot count the blessings we have received...
While in Atlanta, I celebrated my 28th birthday (BAH!) and enjoyed the evening out with David and Tai, their lovely wives and my darling husband and son. We had fish and grits at the Atlanta Fish Market in Buckhead, followed by homemade cannelloni with a glass of Port at a charming Italian cafe in Roswell.
We traveled home and I spent one day in the office before taking Friday off to prepare Marie's Bachelorette party. Can I tell you how tired we (Jude and me) were by this point? But no time for sleep! Saturday came along and we had a packed day planned to celebrate the one of the two most important woman in my life. We started
at Saks Fifth Avenue for a lingerie party. The rest of the day is top secret ;-).
Since then, we have spent a lot of time in the sun, by the pool and just relaxing as a family. This past Saturday was Jude's first time in the swimming pool. He loved it! He has learned how to splash and play, too.
Its crazy to think that in 3 weeks we are moving. We close on our house in Indy on August 12, close remotely on our house in Georgia on August 14 (our 5 year wedding anniversary), Marie and Zach's wedding is Saturday, and we head out with the truck Monday the 17th!
As for a Jude update, he is growing like a bean stalk - long and lean. He has consistently grown an inch each month and only one pound per month. So, he has remained on the 50% for height but dropped to the 10% for weight. We started adding formula to my milk last weekend and he took it just fine. We also introduced rice cereal into the regimen which is so fun to watch!
Well, its time for me to turn in. I have posted TONS of pictures on my MobileMe site. There are videos too!
